Hi! My name is Liz and welcome to the world of Chinchilla Whiskers!
When I purchased my first reliable sewing machine about 11 years ago, sewing became my main hobby. Although I’ve dabbled in a lot of crafts — rubber stamping, jewelry making, painting — working with fabric has kept me inspired to bring a little happiness and color into my life and hopefully into others’ lives as well.
I like to think of what I make as handmade smiles. Just small things that when you look at them, they give you a chance to pause (even for a second) and recognize color, beauty, cuteness, etc. I think we all need that every once in a while.
Reflected in my sewing, you’ll see the things that make me feel good:
- animals and nature
- color — especially greens and blues
- inspiring work by my favorite designers
